Whether it is a sewing circle, book club, bible study, an investment or spirituality group — there is a synergy, a kind of magic that is created when women come together in Circle that has been going on since the beginnings of humanity.
I am continually amazed with the growing number of books, and other resources supporting what has become the Women’s Circles Movement — an extension of what has been called, “The Women’s Spirituality Movement” — a kind of “Evolved Feminism” for the New Millennium. On the Wild Woman’s Path page of this site, the section “The Many Gifts of Creating a Circle,” contains information that has been channeled by a conscious trance-channeler, Cynthia Brown and the energy, “Fortune.” In that article, you’ll find that the forming of Circles in which women gather, creates a kind of ripple effect, wherein each women who is a part of a Circle carries the energy of the experience of that Circle out into her world of relationships, which continues to extend out into the world, the universe, and All That Is! This same concept was also brought out in Dr. Jean Shinoda Bolin’s book “The Millionth Circle.” When thought of in this grand perspective, we must realize the importance of this type of connection and the healing properties of the act of our “pure intent’ in creating Circles and being a part of this global women’s movement. (You’ll find more books on creating circles on the resources page.)

In the wonderful book, “Women Circling the Earth,” by Beverly Engel, she expresses ways to “join the circle and begin making significant changes in your family, in your community and in the world.” She goes on to say that this includes:
- Creating or joining a circle
- Widening the circle by bringing circle principles into other aspects of your life
- Conducting your life according to circle principles
- Dedicating your energy and resources to organizations and causes that advocate circle principles.
The commitments involved in living circle principles which seem to be the most binding and healing force, is the act of presence and willingness. Whether you choose or are able to be a part of an actual Women’s Circle, it is good to remind ourselves of the positive aspects and effects of being consciously aware and willing to be open in our lives.

I would like to join or to help to create a women’s circle in San Francisco, California. I work for an educational non-profit agency associated with a mainline denomination — but I particularly want to belong to a circle of women with other religious and/or spiritual backgrounds.
How do I go about finding circles or women who
are interested in belonging to a circle?
Om Shanti

Hi Claudia, could you give me some pointers on topics for women’s circles? What has worked for you?
Thanks, Kryta Deere
Hi Kryta
We have looked and touched in on quite a few topics, such as Intenttions, Connecting and reflecting on certain Archetypes of different Goddesses, to reflect on them and recognise perhaps on some of their qualities and sides that were not beneficial, then to make space within ourselves to transform. We also had the topic of Release, meditating and reflecting of aspects in our lives that we would like to release…and chanting and drumming, which is also a wonder-filled way of connecting with the Creatrix that resides in all of us..
I hope this is helpfull for you…
Love and Blessings,
Claudia
