The following was extracted from a personal reading by Cynthia Brown in the summer of 2000:
In Trusting your Self, it is almost a redundancy in thinking there is anything else to trust. Trusting ourselves is all that we do have on earth. It is the God reflection on earth. It is the “God Fire”, “God Vibration” or whatever you would call the spark of life that you do have that is within yourself–which is all that you can trust while you are here. Your faith is that you do trust in that which you would call “God.” Your faith in yourself is that trust that you have been given here, and life here is a reflection or mirror image, of what you do put forth in order to trust God. Therefore, if you do not trust yourself, delve into yourself, listen to yourself, and go deep within yourself in order to find your answers, in essence you are not of faith, but acting as that of a bystander or just passing through this life–which many people do. It is not a judgment as to whether it is right or wrong–It is a decision they have made in this lifetime.
If you do choose to trust yourself, then you will further develop more faith in your God. And in that, you will see a CIRCLE of energy that has a beautiful showering of very smooth, flowing movement of God to Self and Self to God. It is a feeling of overwhelming gratitude. When this gratitude is not present, there is fear. If there is a break and the Self is not trusted, then there is only empty faith to God in a fearful way. When you have fear of God, it is because you do not have trust in yourself in order to complete that CIRCLE of energy, which is love of God, which is love of Self. That is part of the CIRCLE. It is an appreciation of God, it is an appreciation of Self. This feeling is a “knowing”. When you feel this knowing, it is an affirmation or validation. A feeling of “Rightness of Being”. You know you are in a rightful state of Being to accept, and also to offer back to life that which you do want to give and receive. This “state of grace”, is like a fertile ground that is ready to be planted. There is much moisture, sunlight and activity in this “field”, but if there is no gratitude or sense of grace, it has a drying up effect, and causes fear, anger and anxiety. Having this “knowingness”, IS Being in your rightful place. It is a sign that you are going in the right direction.
